this ol' dawg won't hunt
I got up this morning
again.
the first thing I saw was it
at the foot of my bed
wagging it's friendly ol tail
tongue out and slobbering
that promise
on my comforter.
I scooted it aside
and got out of bed
noticing the usual urgency
on it's countenance
I escorted it promptly
out the door for it
to perpetrate it's promptitude
on some others province
I've had enough!
maybe it'll run away
and get lost
for I've already lost it
in too many chases
down empty fox holes
I'll not be calling
out the door for it
if it chooses to return
I may let it back in
if it whomped that varmint
to meat
HA!!
again.
